King of Pop

What a sad dad in the pop world that Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50. We all grew up listening to him and trying to learn to dance as good as he could. So sad!! We will have to teach our children about his music and awesome dance moves. He was a great entertainer.

I realized I haven't really updated this past weekend and it is almost this weekend. Friday night, we went to a cookout at our friends house for a little while. Then, we went to see the movie Hangover. OMG it was so funny. It is definitely one of those movies I would watch over and over again. It is my new Talladega Nights. So, it was really good!

Saturday, I went to help K10 in the morning to unload some boxes into the new house. You know I obsess with organizing. So, I got to organize her kitchen pantry, bathroom, and some of the closet. It better look just the same next time I come back! :) G man kept unorganizing the bottom shelves as soon as I organized them. He is the most precious thing ever. He is such a happy baby that I wanted to squeeze him the whole time I was there. I was so glad to get to see him. I've only met him at 1 day old. Hopefully that will happen a little more often now. Later that night, we went out to celebrate a friend's birthday. Of course we ended up shaking a leg like I love.

Sunday was Father's Day. I got up early and went to see dad in the morning since he works so much lately. I got there around 9:30 and made it in time for his morning walk. Me, dad, and the dogs went for a walk through the pastures and woods to get some exercise and check on the cows. They just had a new baby calf that was so sweet. It was in the awkward knobby knee stage looking so precious. We worked up a nice sweat and put on the swim suits. The pool water was so warm that it wasn't even a shock to our body. It was almost like bath water. It was still pretty refreshing though. I had to get out the goggles though because I wear contacts. Its so cool to see under water. I just love to go under and swim around looking a stuff. Snorkeling was my favorite when we were in Hawaii. I just love it. Thank goodness there were no fish in the pool though. haha We grilled some dogs and burgers and ate a quick lunch before dad had to go to work. Kyle, mom, and I curled up in the living room for a quick nap.

I have a project that I am working on that I am dying to get posted, but I had to finish it first. Maybe I can work on it this weekend. I am trying to do a homemade art work thing in the bathroom with my new decorations. Speaking of art projects at home, my bloggy friend - Thrifty Decor Chick- posted this today about free paint.

https://www.glidden.com/promotions/free-paint-giveaway.do

Pick a color online or at Home Depot and they will send you a free quart. That's it. And it's in my favorite finish -- eggshell. Swoon. The offer is good through July 2 or while supplies last. Get to it!!

How awesome is that?! Maybe I can buy some brown paint for my bathroom/bedroom now. I really need to paint them soon. My bedroom is probably the most plain of all. Its about time I did something with it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend coming up. I am supposed to help my other friend move out of her house this weekend. I am just helping with packing the truck though. I am hoping these friends will magically appear when I am moving. :) Wink, wink!

Sony Fun

I got my new camera in the mail. Yah!! I was so excited. Of course, I had to try it out to see how well it works. I got it just in time for my work graduation party at Southern Adventures. We played a nice round of putt putt golf. Me and Shock tied at 52. It has been years since I've played, and I think even then it was only like once. We had fun laughing at each other.

I can't find the before pictures of my bed and table, because I think they were on the stolen camera. I was able to find the picture I took of all the gifts on the old table. That helps some. I am in love with my new table. I have a small dining area by the kitchen, so it really makes my kitchen look bigger. I love the dark wood too. Now, I just need to update my old ugly appliances that the builder put in this house. One day...one day.

Here is my bed now. I am not sure where the original picture of it is either. I noticed after taking this picture that the middle mirror is crooked. I need to go straighten it up. Kyle punches them in his sleep sometimes, so I have to fix them every so often. I want to paint that main wall behind the bed a brown. Then, I want to do the other walls creme or something. I will probably do the bathroom in brown too. I ordered a new bed, so yes it is currently sitting on the floor, which is why it looks so low. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

I can't believe it is already Wednesday of this week. Everyone please keep my bestie K10 in your thoughts and prayers. She is an awesome person and has some hard stuff coming up soon. I know she will be strong as she always has been. I love you Kristen!! Trust movement. :)

Here is some testing of my new camera. Serenity was about the only one that would pose for me. She loves it. Excuse and ignore the red rocket. If I waited for him to put that up, I would never get a picture of him. This is the true Jiggaman.

Relaxing

I have really been bad at this lately. Im just relaxing by myself today. As I speak, my crazy husband and his friends are on the creek fishing in the storms. They went late last night, camped out on who knows what, and are continuing to fish in the rain and thunder. They are nuts. Two of my friends are in town from Orlando. I got to spend time with them both last night. We had a good time. They are in town for another high school friend's wedding. Weddings almost always make me cry. They are so sweet. I am so glad I wasn't a crying bride. I think it is so sweet that the brides cry, but I am just glad I didn't because I would have lost it. I smiled ear to ear the whole time I was getting married.

I haven't really been doing much to talk about this week. We ate at Mellow Mushroom Wednesday night for the basketball game. It just opened on Memorial Day. I love some pizza. I've only eaten there one other time in Panama City, but we were a little hungover and the tastebuds just aren't the same. So, I don't think I really tasted it the first time. It is yummy.

I am just laying around watching I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!! It is so funny. So dramatic! Spiedi drives me nuts! haha They seem so fake with their religion. I believe she is religious, but they carry it over board. Spencer prays like Ricky Bobby. He is so retarded.

I guess I didn't have much to blog about, but just thought it had been a while. Maybe I will have something a little more interesting next time.

Better Luck

Maybe I will have better luck this week than I seemed to have last week. I think having my purse stolen really messed me all up. I have gotten most of my debit cards and stuff back already, so that is good. I still have a few more things to get, but I'm getting there. My insurance has been awesome and so helpful. I get to go shopping to replace a few of my things. Sadly, there is no replacing the LV that was a gift. I am not buying another really expensive purse again. I never have been one to want to spend a lot on a purse. Kyle always spoiled me with those. I also was mad last week that I ordered a gift for my friend on like May 20th from Target.com. They didn't have it in the store, or I would have just run there really quick. I patiently waited for the latest expected arrival date which was June 2nd. It had a UPS tracking number that said the billing information was received on May 22nd. Why have I still not gotten it? I finally called UPS to get more info on the tracking number. They said all they had received was the billing information and that they never have gotten the item. They referred me back to Target, which said the item must have gotten lost somewhere. So, the last ordered me a new one. I asked could it not be shipped to me fast since I was supposed to get it 2 weeks ago. She put in for a 2 day shipment and applied a promotion. Its actually going to be less than it was originally. Yah! At least something good came out of it. The thing is that I still have something else to do with the gift that will take a couple of days before I can still give it to her. I might as well make it a Christmas gift now! haha j/k

Last Thursday night, I got to babysit my good friend's little boy. I went to her house to keep him so that she could go to a recital. She is a teacher and the studio is her sister's. So, everyone that could normally keep him was going to be at the recital...even the normal sitter whose both girls also dance there. I was excited that she would think to ask me. He was in a mood too. I fed him a bottle as soon as I got there. He was so grouchy after that. I had to stand at the front glass door looking outside to calm him. He is no little baby either...he is a chunk. So, it was really hard to stand with him for long. Nothing I did made him happy. Finally, he calmed down. I think I figured out why...he pooped! I checked him to see if he had, and I got it on my finger. I hollered ewww gross!! He smiled really big. I said oh you think its funny now. haha I was just happy he was happy for the moment. I got him all changed and put him in his play pin while I ate some lunch leftovers really quick. He was running a marathon from his back in there. I got him back out and we watched TV. He got unhappy again for a while, but his little swing that plays music seemed to sooth him. I could tell he was getting sleepy, so I got him out and rocked him. He fell asleep at 8:50...20 minutes before daddy got him. haha I still had fun though. I love babies even when they are unhappy. He is not normally that way. I guess he had a bad day getting passed around to a bunch of dancers that wanted to hold him. haha He is so sweet.

Saturday was my friend Lindsey's birthday. She wanted us all to go white water rafting, but everyone wouldn't confirm ahead of time since payment was needed up front, and we missed out on having a raft. So, we went canoeing instead. Kyle wasn't able to get off of work, so I promised Lindsey I would be her canoe mate. I think that was a bad idea! The group of boys we went with are always wild. They had a hit list out on our canoe since the birthday girl was in it. They took the cooler's out of our canoe that was keeping us weighted down and started rocking us from side to side. I so didn't want to be flipped out of the canoe. Its not the water that I would have minded, but just the thought of my canoe sinking and how would we get it out of the water. They would go full speed and t-bone us in the side. It was crazy. One of the other guys that was in one by himself ended up flipping his. It filled up with water, but it didn't sink as bad as I thought it would have. They finally got him back into his just for him to flip out later again. They were eating raw fish that they would catch...I mean they are nuts. We had a good time though. It felt like we were never going to be finished. It took us 6 hours to go 6 miles. I got me a nice tan including permanent flip flops. Awesome!! I was worn out. I rushed home and went over to Angie and Josh's for a cookout. We stayed the night because they live like 30 minutes away. I got up early yesterday morning to get back to let the doggies out. I cleaned the house, washed clothes, and then napped. Kyle and Derek went out on the creek yesterday, since he didn't get to go to the river Saturday. They actually didn't have any mishaps. I was so surprised.

Hopefully this week will be better than last. We will see! Have a great week!

Not Another Fishing Story

All last week I was so excited for Sunday to get here, because it was going to be so pretty outside. There was not a chance of rain in the forecast, and it was going to be 80 something degrees. I said, finally maybe we can get out on the boat without something crazy happening. I should have known better. We got the boat off of the trailer and were sitting in the boat waiting for H&D to put their pontoon in. Kyle out of no where just says, Lissy...I looked at him and saw the look on his face like oh crap. I knew right away...we forgot the keys to the boat. OMG! Seriously? Yes, seriously. Kyle got out to make sure they weren't in the truck and off he drove. We were like 20 minutes from our house. I couldn't believe he left to go back to get the key. We could have just gotten in the boat with H&D. I guess because every time something happens to where we haven't been able to take our boat out. We put in where three different creeks meet up. It was probably a mile or so winding back into the woods where the boat ramp was. It was a pretty busy little place. We all stayed on the boat near the ramp to keep an eye on our boat until Kyle got back. He got back and off we went to the river. It was so dang hot!! Especially when you are wide open to the sun. We brought Jigga for the ride, but he stayed on the pontoon where they had the cover up for shade. We did some joy riding on the river, enjoying the breeze before going fishing. I only caught a couple of fish. Derek caught a pretty big catfish while we were waiting on Kyle to get back. It took like 10 minutes to get reeled in.

We pulled back up to the ramp after 4 hours of fishing and riding. I think the sun wore us out. Jigga was hot and panting all over the place. Ian and I stayed on the boat while Kyle went to get the truck to get us out. He came back to the boat and asked if I had my phone on me. I said yes? He said well, I think someone stole my phone and your purse because the truck got broken into. I think I was in shock. I said what?!? I have never in my life had something like that stolen for me or my car ever broken into. I hopped off the boat to see what was going on. We called Kyle's phone and actually found it in the truck. My purse was for sure gone. Yeah, big deal, my purse...well, it was...it was a Louis Vuitton that was a wedding present bought for me while we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. So, it was a personal gift and an expensive one at that. I am still trying to use the photographic memory that I have to picture everything that was in my purse. I think of something every so often. They didn't get anything else in the truck besides like $4 that was sitting in the front console. We wonder if that is not what attracted them to break in. However, they broke in on the passenger side in the back where my purse was. What is weird is that his truck is really tall, so they couldn't have seen it easy. I had it stuck under the seat and covered with a shirt. They also broke the window most visible to everyone that was right in the parking lot. It had all of my debit cards, credit cards, insurance cards, membership cards, checkbooks, brand new prescription eye glasses, my camera that I had just put a brand new 2 GB SD card in, all of the rest of my gift cards I had just gotten for graduation, my car/house keys, and a few makeup things. Talk about feeling invaded. We sent someone to our house to check on it since the jerk offs would know we were out at the river. They had my house keys, car keys, and my address from my checks. Luckily I had taken my driver's license with me on the boat for the boater's license on it.

We called the cops to file a report. It took them a freaking hour to get there. It sucked waiting. I was able to call and report all of my debit cards stolen though, so hopefully they couldn't have gotten anything from them. An investigator should call me tomorrow to finish up the rest of whatever. So, I took off today to get all of my banks settled and my insurance claimed. I think I am still in shock about it. I keep trying to go to my purse for stuff and I can't. The old purse that I have to use is so empty that I feel stupid carrying it. We changed the locks on the house so that the old key won't work. I am so not a religious person, but I do believe that what goes around comes around. I am not quite sure why this happened to me, but I do know that it will come back around to whoever did this to me. I try to look a the bright side of this crappy situation and tell myself that you have to learn a lesson somehow. Lesson #1 is to not forget the boat keys again. Lesson #2, never leave your purse in the car. There is no telling how many times I have left my purse in the car because nothing like this has ever happened to me. I know now. It just stinks really bad. So, that was my wonderfully looked forward to Sunday that turned to sorry Sunday.

I've gotten my new table put up. I had taken before and after pictures, but my camera is gone now to get them uploaded. I'll see what I can do to get one up. I bought a different bedding than what I originally wanted. Turns out the website I was looking at really was a rip off, so I decided not to go that route. I think I got a better deal anyway. I got a 20 piece set that I have been loved ever since I put it on the bed. I just put out my new bathroom stuff too. Now, I need stuff to hang on the walls in there. I am finally getting it together a little at a time. I would really like to paint too. I think finding a bed is my number 1 thing to do.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the week. I sure hope mine gets better than yesterday and today were. One good thing is now I only have a 4 day work week. I get my hair done this week...I always enjoy that. I need it this week.
