Happy New Year!!!
Kyle and I brought the new year in right. We, along with 18 other friends, purchased the VIP Glass room at Ketchup in Huntsville. Of course, being girls, we all had our hair done by our good friend Lacey Cooper. She just opened her very own salon *Elements* in Madison and wanted to have the girls in for a good time - no charge. It was so much fun getting ready with all of the girls and leaving lookng like we were heading off for a wedding.

My skin has not seen much sun probably since Jessi and I went to the beach in October. I tried to get a quicky tan before NYE. I went for 12 minutes on Monday, was too busy on Tuesday, and got up early to go Wednesday for 15 minutes to have a tan for my tank top that night. Well, what do you know! The bulbs on Hughes Road are way hotter!!! I was burnt to a Red Lobster crisp.

= MeKristen and I stopped quickly on the way home to get green concealer as I was told it counteracts red. Well, it did, but it made me look as white as a ghost in all of my pictures!! Kristen called me Hulk...more than once. Ha ha! I should have listened to her when she said I should have just gone burnt. Now, I look at all of the pictures wishing I could just wipe it all off.
With the purchase of the room, we were given 5 bottles of liquor on top of it already being an open bar! We chose 2 bottles of Jager, 2 bottles of Patron, and a bottle of Grey Goose. Buckets of beer were delivered later for those avid Flip Cup fans!
And the night begins...We all did a toast as soon as we got there. Heather S. came over with a bright idea of shooting the GG. So, we did. Ew! I honestly do not remember much after that. Needless to say how the night usually ends up for me when it gets like that, I accidentally got sick on the VIP floor. Ooops. I felt so bad that it happened. Everyone rushed me to the bathroom to make me feel better, but I already did.
And...the night was over, so we called a cab. I relied on the handy Google text for cabs in Huntsville. I dialed until I got a few. Of course people kept stealing our cab, so what felt like forever...we finally got a cab. Six of us fit into one car and rode safely home. Our cab driver was so sweet. Kristen had a front seat heart to heart with him the whole way home. She asked him what was up with his hair and that they would have to do something about it. I kind of remember it was pretty long. He thanked us for listening when we were getting out. In case you are wondering, it is around $40 for a cab ride from Bridgestreet to Athens. :)
Everyone came in and crashed. One guy per each 3 sections of the couch, and three girls to my one full bed. Ha ha! I woke up in the morning to Jessi squished in the middle of Kristen and I saying scoot over because Kristen is on the edge. I think all 3 of us are on the edge in a full bed. Pretty cramped, but it worked. Kristen and Josh left early to get back to their kiddies. Kyle and I got up to go pick up my car at Bridgestreet. We then stopped by his mom's to see our neices and nephew...see other blog for that update...
This was my first new year's eve with Jessi after 2-3 years and my first with K10. I hope there are many more to come with us all together. We had a great time!
